WHAT IS PILATES?
Pilates is a series of non-impact exercises conducted on specialized machines or on exercise mats. It emphasizes balanced strength, breathing, flexibility, mind-body awareness, and most famously, core strength. Pilates can aid you throughout your life, helping with better posture, less back pain, and graceful aging for all age groups and most physical levels.
Owner & Instructor
Judy began her physical fitness career as AFAA certified Aerobic Instructor & Personal Trainer. She discovered Pilates and has achieved all levels of Instructor Certification in Mat & Reformer Pilates from Balanced Body University. She has been training Private Clients and Instructing Reformer & Mat Pilates classes for over 12 years, she purchased Perfect Balance Pilates LLC in 2013. Judy loves to work with clients who are just beginning their fitness journey, but also those who wish to enhance their physical fitness .
Tessa has had an interest in physical fitness her entire life. She started running at the age of 11 creating an awareness of the importance of the mind body connection. Tessa has worked under the direction of a Personal Trainer for years to develop her own personal fitness program. In addition to her commitment to her fitness program she loves long distance bike cycling and horseback riding. When Tessa discovered Pilates she fell in love immediately. She has completed and secured Reformer Pilates Certifications through Balanced Body University. Tessa is continuing her studies to secure several other levels of Pilates certifications. She believes Pilates has changed her life and is dedicated to sharing this amazing method of exercise with all of those individuals interested in Pilates.
